As a superfan of Big growing up, I HAD to listen to this. The movie Big was my life, and this unproduced pilot script is no Big. But Mike and Kevin know that, which is why this reading of their script — and the interview about the writing of it — is interesting. It exists in the universe of Big, without it being a retelling of Big. Did they nail the tone and warmth that really set the movie apart from its body switching peers (a fad in the late 80s)? I’ll leave that for you to judge. (Fox apparently felt the answer was “no”)
